Large Nasal Polyp in the Posterior Nasal Cavity

Initial Drainage of Large Maxillary Sinus Mucocele: This video shows nasal polyps in a 31 year old patient who sought medical attention for double vision and facial numbness.  The patient's face was asymmetrical and on CT Scan a large mass was seen in the Maxillary Sinus.  On nasal endoscopy the sinus was entered and abundant thick fluid was removed from the sinus. Gelfoam Packing of a Posterior Nasal Bleed:  This video is of a 45 year old patient with a minor but bothersome nose bleed.  The nose had an anterior pack placed with did not control the bleeding.  Nasal endoscopy found a bleeding source high up and deep in the nasal cavity.  Since there had been no active bleeding for 24 hours, Gelfoam packing was placed.  View Video
